There are many versions of the Old Testament. The following table lists most of the major versions in the Christian world.
The Old Testaments
Table cells with an asterisk (*) indicate that a book is present, but in a different order. Empty table cells indicate that a book is absent from the relevant canon; such books are often referred to as apocrypha. The term "Apocrypha" is sometimes used to refer specifically to those books in the Catholic canon that are absent from the Protestant Bible; Catholics refer to those books as deuterocanonical.
